I'm in a Pickle!!!!

Literally!!! We have been up to our ears in garden produce. Those of you locally have gotten a taste of that as you patiently receive zucchini & cucumbers & lettuce from our overflowing garden! ( I hope we'll still be friends after all the zucchini I've given you all!) :) We've done dill pickles, sweet pickles, relish, green beans, raspberry & blackberry jam & today we do more relish! Tomorrow? I STAMP!!!! My guys are going fishing with an out of town friend so it will be quiet here so I get to PLAY!!! Enjoy your day!

Love LOVE coffee cards. This is a set that's discontinued called " What's Brewin" I have used it SO many times! The colors are some of my favorites too. So grab a coffee and sit down & stamp for awhile! It'll do you good besides helpin ya! :)

Square Dot Happy Birthday

Great masculine colors here! Great fly fishing stamp.... Great 2nd hand store I got it at....sorry!! But any masculine stamp will do.this would make a great template for a Christmas card too! A Christmas stamp, greeting & a cool punch & you've got an easy Christmas card!

Just Because I Care

Here's a masculine card to start your week with. I have always loved to do collage-y type cards. With this type of card there's really no right & wrong. It's kind if a free style that shows your own personality. I used some colors that normally aren't put together which was fun. Now....go stamp!!!

Let's Party!!!

Here is an awesome, bright birthday card! This card uses discontinued items but they all can certainly be substituted and not missed at all! As I mentioned to the ladies in class, when you have a cool DSP often times you feel like you are wasting the other side if no one can see it. This way you can show it off too by folding down one of the corners. Have fun & have a DElightful weekend!

Follow Your Heart

Here is a great card for the "season" we are in right now....it's not summer & it's not fall. Sunflowers just fit right there!!! Especially since it is in brown & yellow.

Gardening time!!!

Whew! This time of the year is SOOOO busy. But it is my favorite!!! Be patient.... I will post some cards soon!!!

Card Class Veggie Dip

For the veggie dip we had on Saturday I'll try to remember what I did. :)
I took 1 lb cottage cheese
4 green onions, chopped
1 c sour cream
1 T ranch dip mix(powder)
Mix & add ingredients to taste. I served with carrots (from Costco) & zucchini & cukes from my garden.

Guess what kind of cake we had....

Saturday at card class the ladies all guessed what kind of cake we were having!!!! They know the zucchini is VERY prolific at my house this time of year. So I am posting this recipe for the best chocolate cake in the world....
Chocolate Zucchini Cake
1/2 c soft butter
1 c oil
1 3/4 c sugar
Beat together then add:
2 eggs
2 c shredded zucchini
1/2 c sour milk
Mix & add:
1 t soda
5 T cocoa powder
2 1/2 c flour
1/2 t salt
1/2 t cinnamon
Pour into greased 9x13 pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips & nuts if desired. Bake @ 325• for 40-45 min.

Sending Sympathy

I love this DSP. It is discontinued but was called "Everyday Enchantment". Stampin Up has such wonderful DSP (designer series papers) that there truly ate endless combinations we can do on this card.

Summertime & the livin is .... Uh... Busy!!!

We are getting a little crazy this summer!!!! We had a friends surprise 40th birthday party Sunday evening. Now we are canning canning canning!!!
We are doing Lime Pickles. As you can see by the pictures I have a ton to do!
11 gallon to be exact!!! But I love this time of year and the happy feeling to get my pantry all full & ready for winter. Card class was a blast! Thanks to everyone who came!!! You made my day!

Summertime at the Brewers

Well these are some of the things that have occupied my attention the last few days! I haven't stamped much to say the least but I've gotten a lot accomplished! Tomorrow is my monthly card class so there will be lots of new ideas on here in the next week. Be on the lookout. I hope you're having an AWESOME summer full or all kinds of fun activities! Here is a great card to use Stampin Ups awesome DSPs. So switch it all around and see what you come up with! I also used the Labels Collection Framelits. I folded the front of the card back then I used the die to cut the window. Then use the next size up to cut the cream piece to put behind frame. Have fun!

39 & holdin'

Good morning!!! It's Monday & the beginning of a whole new week!!! I hope your weekend was full of memories & rest!
Here's a couple more cards that sport a persons age. My friend is turning 40 this month so I wanted to do a special card for her. Using the same number dies is an awesome way to put the age right there in front of everyone! Ha ha!!! Wouldn't want anyone to be in denial now would we? Have a great week & don't forget to STAMP!!!

Here's a fun card for our friend who will be 16 this month. I forget to use the little clips so I figured this was a perfect card to use them on since I won't be mailing it. LOVE the number dies too!

Coffee Break

Happy Saturday!!!! It's afternoon & time for a coffee break. Here's some cards sporting....well...coffee!!! I used Cajun Craze cs & Early Espresso cs & Very Vanilla cs. I love this combo! The two stamp sets are discontinued but check out the mug in the new mini catalog on page 16. That would be adorable! Anyway I was just playing while my guys were gone fishing. All the cards for my card class next Saturday are done so I'm home free!!!

25th Anniversary Card

Isn't this the MOST beautiful card you've ever seen? This was given to us by a friend for our 25th Anniversary. I have left it out on the table and look at it often. All white... NO other color! Beautiful!!! I'm not putting labels on this one because I don't know exactly what she used but she does have a lot if Stampin Up stuff!! She used the polka dot embossing folder, scallop dot border punch, sheer white ribbon, layered various flowers, leaves possibly from the Cricut machine & a huge white brad. Thanks , Jane- it is gorgeous!!!

Birthday Girl

It's Wednesday-- that means we are 1/2 way thro this week already!!! Wow!
Next weekend is my "Take 10 Card Class" so as you can imagine I am preparing for that in every spare moment!!! But here is the card for today. A girlie girl card for the favorite little female in your life. The skys the limit on this card with all the sweet girlie DSP Stampin Up has to choose from! OR.... What about making it Christmas since there's SO many awesome Christmas papers! Whatever you choose to do with this card it's gonna be a hit! Have a delightful day!!!

Happy Monday afternoon!!! Here in Central Oregon it is hot!!! We are very thankful for our A/C.
Here's a beautiful feminine card that I really enjoyed making. I loved this patterned paper & am sad it s discontinued. But , alas , there is so many pretty DSP in the new catalog that there should be no problem finding something beautiful to take its place! The patterned paper is cut at
3 3/4" x 5 1/2" and the pull out piece is cut at 3 1/2" x 4 1/2"

Christmas in August

Here's something that will get you thinking about Christmas! You know it really isn't THAT far off! If you start your Christmas cards now, you won't feel so stressed come December 1st!

Clayton's big fish!!!

You noticed there were no blog posts on Saturday? Well this is what we did in the morning.....went salmon fishing. Clay landed this monster & we were all pretty happy! He was pretty proud too!

Nautical Thinking of You

Sometimes it's nice to do things a little "off keelter"! I like how the main picture on this card is crooked. This uses a great combo of blue & yellow. And I have always loved ships for masculine cards. The clouds are done with a stencil I copied from a friend....so I'm not a lot of help on the clouds. But if you live local feel free to come copy it from me.

Cinnamon Raisin Bread

I had posted previously a recipe for my homemade white bread. Well here's a variation that is so full of "awesomeness" it will knock your socks off!!! So get your bakers hat on & let's make some raisin bread!!!
Raisin Cinnamon Bread
3/4 c brown sugar
4 c very warm water
2 T yeast
1 T rounded salt
1/2 c olive oil
Dissolve all of above in mixer bowl. Let stand til bubbly.
Add: 1 c brown sugar
2 T cinnamon
2 c raisins
9-11 c flour
I knead in the last little bit of flour Sony can "feel" if it needs more.
Let rise til double twice in oiled bowl. Punching down twice. Let rise til double in bread pans. Bake @ 350• for 30 min. ENJOY!!!

The world got a present....

And here's a masculine one for you today also!!! This card uses the discontinued nautical designer paper. If you are like me, I loved this paper SO much that I ordered several pkgs so I'd have it for awhile! I guess with all the "male-ness" I have in my house I hoard all the masculine paper I can get!!!

Pretty in Pink

A very girlie girl card!!! I used the polka dot embossing folder (which is one of my favorites!!!) on the whisper white cs paired with pretty in pink cs for this card. Great for a baby announcement or baby shower too!

Punchy Purse

I flipped when I saw this card!!! If you want to make good use of all your punches, this is a good card to make!!!
The curly-cues on the purses are free hand but NOT difficult to do. Very showy card!
