Treat Covers

These are just the cutest way to give a treat!! Even though I'm not a Halloween fan and DEFINITELY not a fan of spiders, these are just waaaaay cute and so fun to make!! I used the Two Tags Bigz die to wrap two Hershey Miniatures in then add the characters to the front.

I used the 11/4" Scallop Circle punch for the body & the 3/4" square punch for the legs.

I used the Owl Builder punch and the 1" Circle Punch and the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle punch for the wings.

So fun....simple.....AND CUTE!!!

6 Week Muffins

Heres a great back to school breakfast idea!
These muffins are so good & full of fiber as well. You can change them up & add wheat germ, nuts & various spices as you see fit.

4 eggs
1 c oil
1 qt buttermilk
2 1/2 c sugar ( mixture of brown & white is great)
Mix well.
Add:
5 c flour
5 t soda
2 1/4 t salt
1 (15oz) box Raisin Bran
Mix all together & put in a big Tupperware bowl. Put in fridge & make muffins as needed. Will keep in fridge up to 6 weeks.
400 degrees 15-20 min

Happy anniversary!!

Some friends of ours had an anniversary the other day. This is the card I made to give them. Love the two birds on this card!! You could do it in any color but I love the black & cream.
I used the 2" circle punch for the hole that the one bird is peeking out of. And of course the Bird Builder punch for the birds & branches. Then the Boho Flower punch for the little flowers & tiny  rhinestones for the center.
I hope they like it as much as I enjoyed making it!!

Chicken FajitaSoup

Here is what we had today at card class...well this & Carrot Cake. The cake was called Killer Carrot Cake & it wasn't Killer!! Too dry and just not right... So not posting the recipe for that for sure!
Anyway the fajita soup was really good!
So here's the recipe:
3-4 lbs chicken
2 cans black beans
4 cans cream of chicken soup
1 pint salsa
1 c water
1 t cumin
1 cup corn
1/4 c chopped cilantro
1 1/2 c cheese
Place chicken in crockpot. Mix all but cheese & cook til chicken is done & tender, about 4 hrs. Take chicken out, shred & return to slow cooker.
Cook til flavors blend then add cheese & stir in.
Serve with toppings:
Sour cream
Chopped green onions
Chopped cilantro
Avacado
Chunked tomatoes
Touch of Lime chips
Enjoy!

You & Yours

Lovely purple for Christmas.
Lovely as a Tree stamp set is timeless & has been in the catalog for YEARS! It's become one of the first sets we look for each year to see if it "made it" into the new catalog.
Here I've stamped it in Whisper White on Eleganr Eggplant CS. I used Sahara Sand CS for the card body & Perfect Plum for the next layer. I embossed that layer with the Softly Falling embossing folder. Also peeking out from behind the tree layer is the wide Burlap ribbon cut in 1/2 & the lengthwise strings pulled do it looks frayed. I saved the strings & used them for the knot.  Rustic but Elegant!

Grateful For You Leaves

Here's some non traditional colors for Fall. I used Island Indigo, Pool Party & Soft Suede. So pretty together.
The Autumn Leaf Print stamp set is discontinued but there's PLENTY in the new catalog to replace it with.
Beautiful fall card!

Delicate Ornament

I cannot believe how beautiful this card turned out!!
I was so skeptical about the Delicate Ornaments framelits!!  All those little pieces... What if they don't come out???
I was pleasantly surprised! I got the Precision Platform & boy, does it ever work great!
I ran it through the Big Shot and they just popped right out! I'm sold!!!

Thank Ewe

It's the end of 4H season & I had a request for some sheep/lamb thank yous.
Isnt this little guy just so cute?
Easy to make too!
2 3/8" scallop circle punch

Boo to You!!

Halloween isn't my favorite holiday but this card is so cute!!
Plus the ladies in card class sure enjoy making cute Halloween cards. :)
I love the illusion of "ghosts" on this card.
I used the new DSP Happy Haunting. It really has some cute patterns in this packet. Fun stuff!!
Happy stamping!!

New Acorn Punch

Oh how I love this new acorn punch!! I used the lattice embossing folder on the top & just sponged the bottom.
This doesn't have to be a thanksgiving card... It could easily be a thinking of you or even a card for a Fall birthday!
Love it!!

Three Reindeer

I know... I know...it's only September.... But Christmas IS coming! Sooooo... We will make a Christmas card or two this month.

Now isn't this adorable?!? Using the Owl Punch, I made reindeer heads. The 1/2" circle punch is the noses & Owl punch & standard hole punch for the eyes. And (gotta love a punch used for a different purpose than originally intended) the discontinued Snowflake Punch for the antlers. How cute is THAT?!?

Hello Baby!!

Easy easy baby card right here!!
Although I made this one so it could be either gender you could definitely add some pink if you wanted it decidedly girl.
Add some gold brads for extra texture. Other than that I think I'll declare this card this months "5 second card"!! Love the beauty of SIMPLE!

Hello Fall

Well it's that time of year to break out the Fall stamps & colors!! I love Fall.... I just know it brings winter & I don't care for winter!!  That's ok... I'll enjoy Fall while it's here.
Here's a great card to bring in Fall with. Using the extra large Oval punch & large oval punch, you can create pumpkins from DSP. Cut a stem, and a thin scrap of CS rolled around a paint brush handle  (or whatever you have) to make the little "viney thingy" by the stem. Soooo cute!!!
