Christmas gifts for class members

Heres some pictures of the little water bottle gifts I did for everyone who came to class last Saturday. You can use any pocket or envelope framelits or die to create the little hanging pouch off the side of the bottle.
I wrapped the bottle label with some DSP.
I added rub ons, ribbon, clips, mini safety pins, sequins, ribbon, mini jingle bells, & snowflakes.

I put a little pouch of Crystal Light drink mix (from Costco) in each pocket.
Merry Christmas to all my favorite class members!!

Card class!!!

It's that time of year.... And that time of month for CARD CLASS!!!  Even though December is the most hectic month of the year, I love my Christmas card class!
We will be making all Christmas cards & listening to Christmas music....
Our snow is disappearing fast ( I was a little scared we'd have to cancel) & my house is decorated!! I hope I'll see you Saturday!

Time to chill!!

Great advise for this time of year, huh?
Snow Place is a great stamp set! So many options & ways you can create cards from this set! You can also bundle it so you can save some money!
Here's a really simple card  for you at this "time to chill" time of year.
DSP & card stock that matches are all you need. I chose to do the Wysteria Wonder & Pool Party just because SOMEBODY  in class loves purple!
And the combination is a great winter one anyway.
You could even use another embossing folder & snowman other than what I used. Just make it your own! Add snowflakes and you have a lovely simple card!

Shimmery Peace on Earth

Talk about elegant!!! Wow!! This is one gorgeous card!
Foil red sheets, silver foil sheets, silver glimmer paper all make for a super special card for some one that's high on your list this year!
Oh and did I mention the striped red foil vellum?!? Nope I didn't! But that's another special feature of this particularly beautiful card. Fun to put together & definitely fun to give!

Shadowy Trees

Here it is!! This months "5 Second" card!

Literally the simplest card!!
Snow flake vellum over white card stock stamped with Night of Navy trees from the oooooold SU! set "The Pines".
Mount on Night of Navy card & punch holes at top so you can attach the vellum with ribbon. Remember if you use tape or glue dots it will show through vellum. I used Stazon ink for the greeting just to insure it wouldn't smear. There ya go!!

Chimney Santa

Cute cute CUTE!!!
This punch art Santa (well, his feet anyways) is just too sweet!!
Full Heart punch for feet
Owl Builder punch for bag
Boho Flower punch for "fur"
Two Tags punch for bricks & presents
Super fun & super easy!!

O,Come all ye faithful

I look forward to putting my nativity figured up each year! So I thoroughly enjoyed making this card. Just card stock, Memento ink & chalks is all you need to give this card that "Wow" factor!
I placed the two front white pieces together so they touched (before adhering them to purple) and stamped the greeting. The mounted them on each side flap.
Add a silver star and your "paper" nativity is complete!!

Comfort & Joy Gift Card or Money Holder

Hers a great way to use up scraps of DSPs!
Just cut strips into various widths & adhere. You could actually over the entire background if you wanted to!
I actually did an edge punch across the bottom of the front & put a piece of DSP along the inside bottom edge to peek thru. The greeting piece is a place card upside down. I then did a little pocket flap out of the Framelits Labels collection.
I added elves underneath to keep flap down & money or gift card in! I thot the little trees marching up the side was a great finish!

Poinsettia Blessings

I've always a loved combining Cherry Cobbler with Always Artichoke for Christmas cards! And this stunning poinsettia is no exception!
I used the Poinsettia punch for the flower then added rhinestones for some bling in the center. Silver ribbon peeking out around the edges to tie it all  together.
Here's some closeups.
Looks like a Christmas gift all tied up and ready to be delivered!

Thanks Snow Much

Another aDORable snowman!! A great card to send to someone who's done so much for you this season....
He's easy to make too! Cupcake Builder Punch & Extra Large Oval for hat, 1 3/8" Circle punch & Extra Large oval for face & body, Cupcake Builder for eyes & buttons, Banner punch for scarf ends (scarf is 1/2" wide X 1 1/4" long) & just a snippet of orange for his nose. He doesn't have to go on a card either!! He would be adorable as a package topper or tag also!!
Have fun!!

Oh Christmas Tree

Here's a simple card for you this holiday season!!
Using the Pennant Punch punch out all kinds of "green" DSPs! Sponge with Old Olive & mount in a staggered line.
I added a silver star to the main tree & a silver strip across the bottom of the card.  I also mounted the main tree on dimensionals to make it look a  little more special.
Stamp a wide skinny greeting & you're done!!

Bundle Up

Card class was yesterday! Great fun! So here's the first post of the awesome cards we did!

Using a discontinued set called "Bundle Up" it's easy to create a cozy sweater card complete with bookmark!

I used Bermuda Bay & Pool Party ink.
Cute!

Sprinkle over top of batter. Pour over top 1 1/2 c very hot water. DO NOT STIR!!!

Last Fall for 2015

Just in case you need a "thank you" for your Thanksgiving hostess....here is an awesome SUPER fallish card just for that very occasion!!
Love the colors! Basically round up a bunch of fall DSPs and using the Big Shot run them through with the Fall Leaves dies. I sponged with Crumb Cake ink & my card base is Cajun Craze. I used the HUGE thank you sentiment from the "Many Thanks" photopolymer set. Beautiful & your hostess will be delighted!!

It's a "Peppermint-Hot-Chocolate" Christmas

Ohhh-la-la!!!  Sweet & cute all wrapped up into one darling package!!
Here's the pattern I used...(I kinda free handed & cut to shape so it'd fit a regular notecard envelope)
Only this time I didn't make it a open card. I used sticky strip to make it a pocket. The rest is up to you & your creativity, really.... Great gift topper or just a stand alone card!!

Scraps for Christmas

Ok so we're all about simple this time of year, right? Good! Glad we're on the same page!
This card another sooooo simple one!
I used 1 1/4" square punch to punch SCRAPS ( I love using scraps) and create this "quilty" look across top. Then stamp your greeting THEN run through Big Shot using an embossing folder of your choice. Mount on your card base. DONE!! Another 5 second card!!

Can you say SIMPLE?!?

This will definitely be our "5 second card" for this months class!!!
Just DSP....die cut holly leaves....Owl Builder Shimmery Red berries....a little border punching....ribbon.... A greeting....
THATS IT!!

Sparkly Ornament with a Touch of Gold

Check out this sparkly beauty!!!
Because of the lighting I had to take the picture  on a slant.
But here are some close ups.
I embossed the black card base, punched the Little Bow Builder Punch & "string" out of gold from a craft store.
I used the 2 1/2" Circle punch for the ornament & the sticky sheet to go over ornament to adhere glitter. Then the Hold Encore Metallic pad for greeting.
Beeeeautiful!!

3 Panel Snowflake

Hmmmm red snowflakes?!? Yep, red snowflakes!!!
Aren't they pretty?!? Just a little twist to switch up "ordinary" Christmas cards...AND to keep you on your toes!!
DSP background, white CS cut 1 3/4"x 2" the mounted with Cherry Cobbler snowflakes. Use whatever border punch you have... This one isn't SU! so any pretty border will do.
A long lanky Merry Christmas stamp of choice will go nicely along the very bottom. Viola! There you have it- Gorgeous & simple!!

Oval Punch out Christmas

Here's a peaceful Christmas card for ya!
I used Smoky Slate & Marina Mist CS. I embossed the Smoky Slate with the Northern Flurry embossing folder then used the reverse side so I could emboss the little dotted oval in the upper right hand corner. I then used the extra large oval to punch out the center of the embossed oval. Then I mounted the grey on the blue & punched again, this time through the blue. You'll have to put your ribbon between the two layers of CS at this point because if you do it earlier...obviously you wouldn't be able to punch the 2nd time.
Make a mark with a pencil or just your fingernail onto the white inside of the card to mark the center of the oval.

Then open up & stamp the pine tree from "Lovely as a Tree", centering the top of the tree on your mark.
Add your greeting tag on front & the sentiment inside. So beautiful!

Joyful Tidings

This DSP (Season of Cheer) is so very cool!!
Love this holly & berry side!!
Fun card & simple too!
I used the Top Note die on this one which is one of my favorites.
The greeting came from "Christmas Messages". It was a set from 2014.
Happy stamping!!

Collapsible Snowman

Isn't this just the cutest lil' guy you've ever seen?!?
And look how he opens up to be tall and to show your greeting!!

Here's the recipe:
For the hat:
1" square punch (corner rounder fur corners)
Word Window punch
Ribbon for hat band
Boho Blossom for"snowflake"
Add button & twine
For head:
1 3/4" circle punch
1 1/2" circle from Bigz die
Standard hole punch for eyes
Hand snipped piece for nose
Hand drawn mouth
Middle circle:
2 1/2" circle punch
2" circle punch
Owl Builder punch for buttons
Bottom circle:
Scallop circle die
3" circle die
Add brads to hold him together & make him swivel. ADORABLE!!!

Every Blessing

Hi there!! It's that time again ...CARD CLASS!! How much fun we always have!!
Here's a siiiiiiimple card but oh, how pretty it is!!
Simple black ink....
Simple colors....(Crumb Cake, Basic Black & Very Vanilla)
Simply stamp, sponge, punch a star & there you have it!! Definitely a "Wow" card  with out all the tedious-ness of a complicated card!!

Overnight Cinnamon Rolls

Note: I do NOT use a serrated knife as it smashes the dough!
I use a piece of fishing line. Put it under the dough, bring it up over dough holding in each hand & cross it over pinching the dough off. You can also use dental floss.
Another hint is I  make brown butter frosting. Just melt a cube of butter over med heat & allow it to boil. It will change in sound & that's when you watch it very closely. It Browns FAST at that point.
Remove from heat & add powdered sugar, cream & vanilla to proper frosting consistency.

Brewer Christmas Card 2015

Here's what I came up with for our family Christmas Card this year. Now that they are all sent out I can post it.
And our family picture...

I love this combination!! The Snowflake punch is so cool because the small flake mounts perfectly on the large one. Fun card and a great way to wish all our faraway friends a Merry Christmas!
Wishing you all a truly Merry Christmas & a happiest of Happy New Year!!
