Striped Merry Christmas

Here's those Scentsational Framelits again. They are so fun & easy to use. Remember the days when we had to cut out everything by hand? Well not with Framelits! Isn't this Christmas DSP so cute? I loved every design in this pack!
Enjoy & I hope you have a Happy Friday!!!

Christmas Blessings

Blue & white are so beautiful for Christmas! Here is a card we did in class that I really enjoyed putting together! This card couples DSP & a snowy embossing folder to make a soft pretty card. Also here's a picture of my tree... Can you tell we love blue for Christmas? :)

Give Thanks

Well Thanksgiving is almost here so this will be my last "fall-ish" card. I love the look of ink on glossy paper. And I'm very fond of leaves so this combo was fun. Have fun with this card & I hope you all have a very Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Cozy Mug Card

Doesn't this card make you want to go on a sleigh ride wrapped up in a fuzzy plaid blanket? Ok well maybe that's stretching it a bit but still it looks cozy! This DSP is Frostwood Lodge from last year but the DSPs from this year will look just as awesome! Add the sweatertrim ribbon & you have....well a cozy card!!!

Thanks So Much

Isn't this paper cool? It's already embossed with 6 different designs. It's also heavy duty. Paired with Very Vanilla CS creates a lovely card.

Always Artichoke Merry Christmas

Here's a very simple card....I'll tell you how to make it even simpler than how I made it!!! Cut your CS 11 x 4 1/4" . From one end score at 5 1/2" and again at
1 1/2". Tear the 1 1/2" end down to approx 1". Fold at the 5 1/2" score line & then at the 1 1/2" so that it folds down in the front. Next make your window with the Framelits of choice. Tie a ribbon around the folded down flap tying clear around back of card. This is easier than how we did it. We tried to put skinny adhesive down the sides of the pocket. Just tie your ribbon around the entire card- it's way simpler!
Then create your pull out card. Cut a piece of CS 5 1/4" x 4". Then mount a piece of cream card stock (5x 3 3/4")on top. Stamp your greeting & window picture making sure to mark where to stamp for your window. Try this with reds & poinsettias!!!

No-Bake Pumpkin Butterscotch Pie

And here's the pie recipe:
8 oz CoolWhip-thawed
1 c canned (I used squash from our garden)
3.4 oz pkg instant butterscotch pudding mix
1/4 c brown sugar
1 t pumpkin pie spice
2 T brewed coffee
9 " graham cracker crust
Stir together Cool Whip, pumpkin & dry pudding mix. Add br.sugar, spice & coffee. Stir well to mix. (I added more cool whip than called for) Spoon into crust. Refrigerate for at least 2 hrs before serving. I made my crust out of crushed ginger snaps & butter.

Pumpkin Patch Cheese Ball

Here's the recipe for the cheese ball we had on Saturday:
16 oz extra sharp shredded cheese
8 oz cream cheese
8 oz chive & onion cream cheese
2 t paprika
1/2 t cayenne pepper
Rod pretzels
Celery leaves or flat leaf parsley
Assorted crackers
Mix cheeses & spices together , reserving some grated cheese to roll cheeses ball in. Shape into pumpkin shape, insert leaves into top with a rid pretzel. So cute!

Sausage Kale Soup

If you remember I love love my crock pot!!! If you want an awesome soup for a wintry day here it is:
Sausage Kale Soup
4 brautworst sliced
1/2 lg Onion
1/2 bunch of kale
Several sprigs of parsley
Potatoes peeled & cubed
Carrots , sliced
Beef, chicken or turkey broth or some of all three... Remember when you mix meats it just makes the flavor better!!!
I always fry the brats, onion & parsley together. Scrap into crockpot. Add water & broth to skillet to get all cracklings out. Pour into crockpot. Add vegetables. Simmer in crockpot all day. Add desired seasonings. Serve with homemade bread. Yuuuum!!!
