Wee Willie

This is whats been happening at our house this weekend!! Cody found an ad for a yellow lab. He was the last one. Such a sweet puppy so Cody brought him home. We named him Willie.
He's got the sweetest personality and softest little puppy body ever!!
He loves people & loves to be held!
He's already pretty spoiled but he's very easy to train.
Definitely "puppy love" going on at our house!!

Stylish Father

Wow!! A bow tie for every occasion!! And with such class!!!   I used the Bow Builder punch & didn't use the tails. I also pressed the bow loops flat & instead of the skinny strip that's supposed to go around center, I replaced that with a 1/2" circle punch.
Black & white (well, Very Vanilla in this case) is always the makings for a very  classy card!! Any father is sure to love this...black tie affair or not!!

Strawberry Basket

It's almost strawberry season here in Central Oregon. So we got a jump on it at card class this month & made this adorable basket of strawberries.
I used the Full Heart punch, Petite Petals punch, Bird Builder punch & standard hole punch. What a sweet basket of spring berries!!

Pasture Birthday

Ooops... You missed someone's birthday.... Now what do you do?!? Send them this card!!  A great way to apologize for being late & at the same time make them forget you were tardy because this card is soooo cute!! Just a simple block style with a little ribbon embellishment.  Three tiny brads finish it off. Altogether it's a fun card to give.

Denim Pocket

I haven't used my "Pocket Fun" stamp set in a loooong time. So I dug it out, blew off the dust & decided to use it this month in card class. Heres what I came up with. Isn't it adorable?!? I used the "Canvas" background stamp to make it look like material,
I added brads & a little loop of polka dot ribbon to the pocket  for extra "cuteness".
A little tag with a lacey top held the greeting.
A little row of lace (not a SU! punch) for added femininity!

I was very pleased with how this one turned out!!

For Your Country

May is the month when we show appreciation for those who have served our country and who are serving now.
Here's a perfect card to send to that brave soldier that has fought for our freedom.
I flagged the end of the greeting and the DSP. Then punched little stars and added silver brads to the center.
The embossed background ties it all together.

Feel Better Froggie

A cute little friend to wish someone better. He's fun & easy to make too!!
I used the Large Oval Punch, Extra Large Oval Punch, 1 3/4" Circle, 3/4" Circle, 1/2" Circle, Boho Flower Punch (feet) & Curly Label Punch.
This is a hard time of year to be under the weather so this little green friend is just the ticket to making someone feel perky again!!

Triangle Fold Birthday

Can you tell I'm in love with this fancy fold card? Well I just HAD to share it with my class so here's my May class version.
Isn't it so cute!!
Happy stamping!!

Super Simple Chevron

This is what we call in card class a "5 Second Card".
We have to have at least one every class. We have all levels of skill represented at class so we have some cards that may seem very difficult to some & easy to others depending on how long they've been stamping & creating. That's why I always like to throw in a "5 Second Card". It's kinda refreshing to those who are just beginning. PLUS it brings some of us "old timers"  back to the fact that simple cards are really awesome!! And simple is very beautiful!!
Just the Chevron punch, ink, greeting & ribbon. Think of all the scraps you can use on this card!!

Bright 2015

It's that time of year!! School is almost over and many we know will be graduating!
Cut1 1/4" off the front of this card base to allow the 2015 up the side to show. I used a scallop edge punch for the front edge ( kinda hard to see but trust me it's there) Stamp hats & use tiny punched stars for accent. If you wanna do school colors this card has ALOT of potential!!
Here's the inside...

Washi Tape DAD

Here's some fun with Washi Tape.
No real "right" way to put this card together so just get your "collage hat" on & go to it!! Just in time for Fathers Day!!

Triangle Fold Card Variation

When I made Steve & I's moms Mothers Day cards I felt I needed another "surface" to stamp. So I added an inside flap to stamp Happy Mothers Day on. It was a piece cut about 1/4" bigger at top so I could score, fold & adhere behind top edge. Then about 1/8" narrower so it could all fold in without interfering with side flaps.
It all folds shut nicely & ties the same as the regular triangle fold card.
Beautiful!!! Have a great week!!!

Berry Basket Mother's Day gifts

Oh what fun I've had today preparing gifts for the gals that we are having dinner with tomorrow on Mothers Day.
Just a berry basket, a bitty Wave Petunia & a gift card envelope with a bitty card inside.
A sweet little addition of a lady bug just adds to the adorable-ness of it all!!

Shredded paper to fill in the gaps...

OH and another little basket with some lotion & lip balm for my little 87 yr old friend who isnt feeling well.

She's gonna love it!!
Happy Mothers Day to you all!!

More Mothers Day greetings

I use the stamp set "Fabulous Florets" SOOOO much & I usually cut out the flowers like I did on this card. I have posted this style of card (with belly band closure) before. It is so beautiful & I really love the way they turn out!! I sponge the edges with main color & centers are always sponged with yellow.
I really like the embossing on the two front panels!

Mothers Day greetings

Here's a really fun card I did for a friends daughter in law.
Base is 4 1/4"x12" then scored at 3" increments. So you have 4 panels of 3". I made 2" x 4 1/4" pull out tags & created little pockets on each panel. Check out the photos below.
Fun card, huh? Happy stamping!!
