Cut out & re-adhered (is that a word?) the rose into the cut out. I like it!  This set will be fun to work with, I think!!

December Scrapbook Page

Another way to put a lot of pictures in a small space.  Make a huge pocket & then add tabs to tops of pictures.
This allows you to grab a tab & pull the picture out to view it. Love it!!

October Calendar Page

I love the great outdoors! We had a great time last October elk hunting.
This was also another of those months where I had a bazillion pictures and such limited space. Layering the pictures like this totally saved my bacon when I NEED ALL these pictures on here!!

Such great images of a great time!

Salted Carmel Pecan Pie Bars

Here's a great SIMPLE recipe for an impressive dessert that packs a great "been in the kitchen all day" punch!!
Crust:
1 c flour
1/2 c soft butter
1/3 c brown sugar
Mix well & press into (oiled) foiled 8x8 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 17-18 min.
In the meantime make filling:
1 egg
1/3 c brown sugar
1/3 c maple syrup (real or fake)
1 T vanilla
Pinch of salt
Whisk all together well, fold in pecans then gently pour into hot crust. Smooth out nuts evenly over crust. Bake 16-19 minutes til center is set & not jiggly. Cool completely before cutting in to squares.

Hanky the "Wonder Dog"

If you've ever listened to "Hank the Cowdog" CDs then you'll understand the title! If not, google it!! Kids (& adults alike) love them!! ANYway...this is our Hank.
So this page is devoted to him. He loves four wheeler rides, jumping up on high things. He's so trusting you can tell him to do practically anything & he will give it his best shot!! He's a sweetie so it was fun devoting this page solely to him!

Mustache Fry Box

Isn't this the cutest ever?!?
Just the Fry Box die & Mustache framelit.
Add some candy (yellow preferably) and shredded paper (I wanted black but all I could find was yellow)
Add wiggle eyes and your DONE!!
Too cute & so fun to make!!

Sweetheart Choo Choo

This card could totally be or not be Valentines Day! It would make an awesome baby card as well.
Love all the punches!!
Full Heart
Heart To Heart
1 3/4 " Circle
1 1/4" Square
1" Circle
3/4" Circle
Word Window
Small Heart
And the bottom part of the locomotive is a piece cut 1 1/4"x 2 3/4". Mount the
1 1/4" square behind that.
Lovely!!

Masculine Moose

I went to a yard sale one miserable rainy day last Fall and got some really cool DSPs!! Here's a sample of some of them.
They are great masculine patterns & coordinate well with SU!s fabulous colors. This will be a great card for the next time you need a quick card for that special guy.
But I have to tell you a secret... I made two mistakes on this card. Can you find them? Nope you can't! This is just a really good example of how you can fix mistakes without throwing major pieces away. I stamped the main greeting on the white bottom of the card. Then the piece with the moose on it almost hid all the awesome DSP. Hmmmm... So I moved the moose image down, hiding my greeting. Hmmmm... Now where to put the greeting? Aaha! On the corner of the moose image. I stamped the "Thinking of You" ...uuuurgh! .... It was crooked! That's why the greeting is on Smoky Slate in that upper corner. You can usually fix a mistake instead of throwing it away....

Just For You

Here's a set that you can get for FREE when you order $50+ through the end of March.
I like it because it's a nice bold type & works very well on masculine cards!
My card base was Soft Suede then layered with DSP & black then Very Vanilla for the sentiment. Add buttons, brads & stars at will & you've got a really cool masculine card!!

June Calendar Page

Then there was Willie....
June was the month we got Willie so, of course, the calendar page was aaaaall about him!
I liked the way it turned out!  The photo subject was pretty sweet as well!

Manly Valentine

Ok.....we always have to do a masculine Valentines card for our sweetie.
That can be a challenge because we don't want bows, lace or pink, right?
So here it is! Black & silver! What could be better? 3 simple hearts, 3 brads, ribbon with a KNOT (no bow) and a sweet sentiment.  That's it! He'll love it!!

Candy Purse

Such a cute way to wish "Happy Valentines Day"!!

Most of you know how much I love the Top Note die!! And here again it goes to show how awesome this little wonder is!
I cut DSP & Crumb Cake CS on the Top Note die, adhered together & then scored the top for the "purse flap". Add a cute little touch with the left over strip of DSP across flap, trim edges. Add candy bag under flap & staple to back of purse. Then punch holes, insert ribbon & tie knots to keep from pulling through. Then adhere the front flap to back at sides.
Embellish as you wish & give to someone  special to enjoy on Valentines Day!!

May Calendar Page

This is a grand page full of my family's other passion.... Dutch Oven Cooking!!
We have so much fun cooking together & so we have lots of pictures portraying that! I know the grandparents & far away relatives will enjoy seeing all the delight in these photos!!

Lovely Purple Valentine

Oh don't you love this lacey heart?!? It is the most beautiful Framelit I've seen in awhile!
Elegant Eggplant is a perfect color for the backdrop for this lacey white heart with glimmer flowers added!
Add a simple "I love you" and it's....well...perfect!!

Lacey "Love You"

The Love Blossoms DSP stack has such pretty patterns & colors! Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake, Garden Green, Rose Red & Whisper White. Just the colors you need for your Valentine!!
Here I used the cut out heart from a previous card & Full Heart punch to mount on top. Bloomin' Love stamp set has a few real cute sayings... I used the "Love You" but even another set would be adorable!

I then cut out the banner & mounted it on the hearts. I added a little bling with a couple of rhinestones added to the O's in the sentiment.

Peek-a-boo Valentine

A simple little card that you can whip out in no time!!
I used the "Movers & Shapers" Bigz die for the card base with the heart cut out. The Full Heart punch fits perfectly inside the window. Here's a great way to mix and match the DSP scraps you have hanging around!!  Modern Label &Word  Window punch make the greeting. I chose the Scallop Border punch but you could use any border punch & it would still look awesome!!

April Calendar Page

Ahhhhh fishing....Those of you who know our family know that my guys LOVE to fish!!! So here's a page inviting all who see it to come fish with us!
There's nothing like the peacefulness of an evening at the Cove in early spring. High canyon walls towering high above on each side...the slick water around you & every tiny sound echoing off the canyon walls makes for a lovely way to spend an evening with my favorite people!'

March Scrapbook Page

Heres the next page! Featuring my Mens love for outdoor cooking.

I think a big skillet like this one deserves a page all to itself, don't you?

February Scrapbook page

Here's the calendar page for February!
I usually put Steve & I's picture here but this year I wanted to feature the boys love of trapping. My boys won't be to fond of being on a pink page but these calendars will be in Idaho & Wyoming so they won't have to look at it! Hee Hee!!
