Happy Sweet 16

A special girl is turning 16 so here's the special card I made her.
Actually made with the discontinued color Gumball Green paired with Melon Mambo. I love these colors together!!
The ribbon is discontinued also but makes a nice mock DSP! It was a fun card to make & I hope she loves it!!

Happy Fathers Day

A little throw back photo for Fathers Day....
Our boys were about 5 & 9 here. They've had the advantage of having the bestest fishing guide for a daddy!! He's also a great hunter, loving father, wonderful provider & awesome protector!! It to mention the best husband a woman could ask for. Happy Fathers Day to my gift from heaven!!

Ice Cream Pie/Cake

This dessert is so easy to make. You'll definitely want to make this for your get togethers this summer. All you need is a package of Oreos (crushed & mixed with 1/4 c melted butter)
Press 1/2 of crumbs into a 9x13" pan. Spread softened ice cream (your choice of flavor) on the crumbs. Press down then top with rest of crumbs. Freeze. Take out 15-20 mins before serving. Great summer dessert!

Brown & Orange Masculine Bday

Who'd have thot that brown & orange would look so delightful together?
Fairly simple card but nice clean lines.

I think it's a great card to give to any guy on his special day!!

Birdhouses

Oh my I love this card!!!
So fun to make bird houses out of squares & corners!
I also embossed the background with clouds (love that folder!) and all the "wood" items with the Woodgrain folder.
Isn't it cute?!?

Purple Swirl

This card is a great example of the difference you can make with DSP's!!
I originally  saw this in blues & browns. Although it was super cute I wanted to use purple so I looked thru my DSPs and found this gorgeous purple print & used it instead! I LOVE the way it turned out & I know "The Purple Lady" at class will too!!

Baby Whale

Welcome baby with this cute little whale!
Or.... Change up the DSP and greeting & make it a birthday card instead! The whale is stamped on a 2 1/2" circle punch. The green strip behind is 3/4" wide & I flagged the ends. Cute & soooo simple!!

White Wedding

Love the look of white on white for a wedding card. Plus that way you're safe on the color scheme also!

Just use whatever embossing folders you have to make it happen! Really can't go wrong when you emboss!

A little greeting attached with a safety pin just finishes it is off.

Grape way to Celebrate!!

Here's a nice sweet card that can be used for many occasions!!
Elegant Eggplant & Sahara Sand really go well together! You could add any greeting to this card.
I added a bit of curled wire to make a vine-y effect. So pretty!!

Thanks, Mate

For your favorite lil' pirate!! Great for an invitation to a pirate themed birthday party too!!
Just use your favorite nautical DSP for backgrounds & hats. I used 1 3/4" circle punch for faces & hats. The Chevron Punch makes great little ties for hats.
The Owl Builder Punch was their eye patches & ears. The little banner flags are on toothpicks to look a bit more like actual flags. So so STINKIN cute!!!

Uncle Sam

Independence Day is just around the corner & here's an adorable card just for that occasion!
Again you can use DSP or create your own background with stamps. I added a piece of red ribbon across the DSP but really you wouldn't have to... It's cute without too!!
For his face I used the 1 1/4" circle punch & 1 3/4" scallop circle punch. His nose is a standard hole punch. His hat is the 1 3/8" square punch in white the punch the sane size of red & cut into strips & adhere to white. Add the word window punch for hat brim. A cute star finishes it off nicely.
I wanted a little extra twist so I punched a
1 1/4" circle out of the front of the lower right of the card base then added the greeting to peek over that edge & tied it all together with another star.
I added a blue circle behind on the inside so it would show up instead of being red on red. So cute!!!

Nautical Diamonds

Monochromatic & masculine!
How simple but very striking!
I've always loved "By the Tide" and this is a great card using this set. I used  the
1 3/8" square punch for the white then cut 1 1/2" squares of blue to mount them on.
Great card to send to your favorite fisherman!

This Months 5 Second Card

Isn't it wonderful? Stars & a happy birthday stamp! Thats IT!!
It could be alternated red & blue for July 4th or all one color (or school colors) for a graduation card, too!! Have fun!!
