Vellum Tea Light

Using the Curvy Keepsake box die, cut out two pieces (which is one box)
Punch a circle out of one side of box using 1 3/8" circle. Punch out a vellum circle using a 2" circle punch. Emboss vellum circle with...uh... Really whatever you want to... Something snowy, Christmasy... Whatever... Then adhere the vellum to inside behind hole.
Adhere bottoms of box together & fit tea light onto bottom making mark where switch is on bottom. Remove tealight & using either a long reach punch or your "anywhere hole punch" make a hole in bottom of box to allow switch to be turned off & on. Adhere tealight inside. Close up top of box & you can add an ornament hanger if desired. I didn't adhere the top so that I could change tealight batteries when needed.

Chubby Snowman

Just love the way this little guy peeks over the greeting! And of course he's all punches!

Layers Are Where It's At!!!

Really this is a simple card.... It just looks complicated because of allllllll the layers. Cherry Cobbler & Slate Grey are the colors I used. This is a great way to use up coordinating DSP also!  Imagine a birthday card like this. So cute!! That's what I love about SU!'s DSP pkgs!! Great coordination!

Rich Razzelberry & Sahara Sand are a great combination!! Stamp your letters on a Curly Label punch out that has been stamped with a script background stamp. Mount onto embossed background. Lovely!!

Peeking Snowmen

Pretty sure these guys are wanting to come in by the fire...
In any case these cards are so easy to make. 1 1/2" & 1 1/4" squares layered, 1 1/4" circle for face, standard hole punch for eyes, marker for mouth & just a free handed cut snipet for nose. I just love their eager little faces! Have fun!!

Merry Christmas Stocking!!!

I have always loved this Stocking die!!! I used the Coredinations Cs on this so I could sand a little into the white core to make it look like brocaded velvet. This is probably my favorite card EVER!!
Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Elegant Snowflakes

Purple is such an elegant color. Pair it with silver & you've got a great Christmas combo! I cut a mask & used it to sponge color through onto a white card. Stamp silver snowflakes overlapping onto white. Then add your greeting. If you want the elegant straight lines you can use a mask slightly bigger than your rectangle or you can use a ruler.

Wonderous Wreath

Again... Simple & beautifully country! Just stamp, use Framelits to cut, emboss background & add a strip of plaid DSP. Mount your stamped wreath, add a bow & greeting and you're  finished!! This one would be fun & easy to do assembly line style for Christmas cards.

The Brewers 2014 Christmas Card

Now that all my cards are sent I wanted to post our family Christmas card for 2014. I just fell in love with the Ornamental Pine stamp set so I knew I had to use that one!! I like Cherry Cobbler because it's more of a rustic red & it goes very well with Early Espresso & Old Olive.
So there you have it. Merry Christmas everyone!! May your holidays be blessed!!

Four Leaves for Fall

Same leaf...different colors. Just right for a Fall card. Change it up & add some greens or browns as well.

Sparkly Ornament

Ornamental Pine at its finest!!!
Notice the sparkles on the ornament? I used Adhesive Transfer sheets then added Dazzling Diamonds glitter! So pretty....and so easy to do!!

Sunburst Nautical

Creates a great focal point!!
Take 1"x 4" strips of your favorite DSP & cut corner to corner. Make sure & cut them all the same way. Cut a 5 x 2 1/4" piece of white CS & find the center side to side (2 1/2")
Place the points of all your cut strips on that center mark (starting with the two center ones)  & lay sides along each other. Stamp greeting & add to center....

Punchy Tractor

Ok is this not the CUTEST Thing you've ever seen?!?! The perfect card for your little farmer. And it's all punches, too !
Clouds=Cucake Builder punch
Balloons= Small Oval punch
Tractor=Tag Punch
Tractor Seat=Heart Punch
Steering Wheel=Slot Punch
Smoke stack=Word Window
Smoke=Boho Flower Punch
Wheels= 2 3/8" scallop, 1" circle, 1/2" circle & 3/4" circle
Wagon=Ticket Punch
Have fun!!

Card Die Halloween

I know...I know... Halloween is looooong past but somehow this card slipped thru the cracks & didn't get posted. So here goes!!
This a cool thing to remember even if you don't like Halloween (as I don't  but some class members do) You can make bats out of a butterfly punch as seen on this card. Punch your butterflies out of black then using a 1" circle punch you will "do away with" his lower wings. Simple!!
And you know how when a picture is taken of your family when you have little kids involved & SOMEONE always has to make a goofy face??? Well my little owl was doing that in this picture... Sorry about the crazy eyes!!

Octagon Birthday

Different DSPS patterns in the same color is always fun to do. And black is no exception! Change up the color & see what you can come up with!

Sweet Thoughts!

This is not a Stampin Up card but it was so cute to make!! Thanks to my friend, Linda, for helping me out during a very busy time of year & supplying EVERYTHING for this card! You were such a blessing!!!

Elegant Pointsettia

Combine vellum & Blendabilities & you've got something beautiful!!! Then add Glimner paper and.... Oh my!! Such beauty!!

Monochromatic Snowflake

Kinda self explanatory huh? Bermuda Bay is a great color for snowflakes. With a little tearing and sponging you have a simple yet beautiful card!

Fancy Fold Snowman Card

Cut your white Cs 4"x10
Score at 5 1/2" from one end then flip over & score at 2 1/4" from the other end. Fold as shown in photos, then stamp your images accordingly. I used a Martha Stewart lacy punch in Wisteria Wonder (wow her punches are sure harder to use than Stampin Ups!!)
Add Rhinestones to the center of each lacy punch flower & one to the tassle of the hat. Cut a Wisteria Wonder piece at
5 1/2"x 4 1/4". Mount white Cs onto Wisteria Wonder piece. Beautiful!!

Card Class

We had a great day Saturday! My December card class is my favorite although the most hectic. I always look for some little hand made "goodie" to give to each person who is here. This year it was Christmas ornaments with "Snowman Soup" in them. They were so cute & fun to make.
We had Spinach Dip & Cranberry Cake with Cream Sauce for snacks. The weather cooperated so we were all thankful! Next class is January 10th!!
Spinach Dip
1 pkg dry Knorr veg soup mix
1 c mayo
16 oz sour cream
1(4oz) can waterchestnuts, chopped
3 green onion, chopped
10 oz frozen chopped spinach, thawed & squeezed out
Mix well. For serving, cut off top of sourdough bowl. Dig out insides & cut into cubes. Cut the top that you cut off into cubes as well. Place on cookie sheet & place all cubes under broiler in over to dry out.  Scoop dip into sourdough bowl & place cubes around bowl for dipping.

Punchy Wreath

Fun way to do a wreath!  Use the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch to punch thru DSPS then out of the punched scallop circle punch a 1 1/4" circle to place in center of scallop. Place a piece of embossed Garden Green behind the punched out circle to make the"wreath" look leafy. Add rhinestones (colored with red sharpie) for holly berries. A small bow with tiny tag attached with mini safety pin finishes it off.

Grateful For You

This card would also double perfectly for a masculine birthday card!! Hardwood background stamp in Early Espresso then same ink stamped over Crumb Cake on front.  The greeting is stamped in the Extra Large Oval punch. Cool card huh?

Elegant Snowflakes

Reverse masking is a fun way to make a completely different look. Use a punch or cut out and place over card. Use a sponge to apply color in the opening. Using a Ruler draw lines around block of color. I used a silver Encore pad to stamp these lovely snowflakes. Add your greeting & you're DONE!!!  Simple but oh so elegant!!

Oh Christmas Tree!!

My tree!! So nice to sit back & enjoy the beauty now.

Envelope Liner Snowman

I'm always on a search for how to use a punch, stamp or die in another way other than what it was intended for... Here's a cool way to use the envelope liner framelits. This is the smallest one in the set... Dressed up like good ol Frosty!! Can you imagine mama & papa too using the next two sizes up??
3/4" & 1/2" circles are his eyes, 1/2 of the pennant punch is his nose & a squiggly line for his mouth! So cute!!
