BABY

It's spring!! It seems that's the wedding & baby time of the year. Here's a generic card that's perfect for a shower. Change up the colors to be more specific. The Polka Dot embossing folder always makes me think of babies so I use it alot on baby cards. Sweet & simple. Enjoy!

Thanks a Ton!

Such a cute little whale! This new set is so fun! Cut your cs at 11 1/2"x 4 1/4" then score at 3" from one end & 4" from the other end. Mount your DSP on the bigger end. Using the new Petite Curly Label punch & 1" circle punch create your little "latch" for the front flap that features the sweet little whale. Have fun!

Funky Colors Happy Bday

So simple you'll want to make every color combo you can think of. Early Espresso card with any bright color combo. Notice that one sample has straight cut strips & the other has angled cuts. I think the angled cuts are way cooler! Punch some bright flowers & you have it!! Punch a window with the Modern Label punch, stamp your greeting & you've got a fun girlie card.

1/2 c sour cream

Friend #2

Here's the other masculine card for our friends that are moving. I enjoy doing masculine cards & again I'm finding that the more layers the better. This card uses the DSP Well Worn. Love that paper& wish I could get a ton more. I understand you CAN still get it on the clearance rack on Stampin ups website.
Have an awesome Saturday!! It's card class day!!!

Friend

Good Friday morning!!! Tomorrow is card class!!! If you haven't paid/saved your spot for March, you better do so quickly!! At class all March spots will most likely be filled. Here's another "goodbye" card for our friends. I am discovering that multiple layering is really fun! I've seen this online & love the look. Of course I love all the western stamps. But if you don't have any, just select whatever your favorite stamps are and recreate this card with your own flair! Have fun!!

Go Team!!!

Here's a cool card for the sports fan in your family. Once you've made one & get the hang of it you'll want to make several!
Cut a circle out of typing paper (template) & one out of Whisper White using the clear circle die. Take the typing paper circle & find the center point by folding in 1/2 then in 1/2 again. You will use this several times. Using the 1 3/8 " circle punch , punch a "window" in the orange card front. MAKE SURE to allow for the 1/2 circle punch to turn wheel. At the top of both blue & orange cs. Also make sure to center carefully so that the wheel doesn't show... It BARELY FITS!
Now attach the typing paper circle to the back of orange cs & using your paper piercing tool make a hole thro orange & paper in the very center (where your folds come together on your typing paper circle)& put a brad in to secure. Now using your orange card front as a "template" punch a 1 3/8" thro the already punched window into your paper circle.
Now disassemble the paper circle from the card front & set card front aside for stamping on. Line up tops of orange & front of blue cs & punch a 1/2 circle with
1 1/4". Now place your paper circle over your cs circle, secure with brad & using the window as your guideline, stamp the images thro the window onto the cs. Disassemble & set paper circle aside. Now attach the cs circle onto the back of card front allowing images to show thro window. If wheel won't turn easily , loosen the brad a little. Create & assemble the "Go Team" banner & YOU'RE DONE!!!

Christmas??? Seriously?

Ok I told you about a month & 1/2 ago that we were done with Christmas cards til next year....well in my picture file I found one I forgot to post on here. Sorry.
This was a really popular card technique at Christmas because it is so simple yet so showy!! You can do this technique with any image that is mirrored (or the same)on both sides. Whatever the image (hearts for example) cut three of that. Then score straight down the center of each one. Then fold on score line & mount one side to another til you have the 3D effect, folding the back flat. Mount the flat back to your card, adding a ribbon to appear like its hanging from the top of the card. Try this with hearts & see what you get! So elegant!

Bright colors to cheer your spirits! Do you have a friend who loves their cup of java? Here's just the card for them! This uses the old set "What's Brewin" but there are sets in the current catalog that would fit just perfectly! The DSP on this card is called Sunshine & Sprinkles from the new Spring Mini Catalog.

Scrappy "I Love You"

Super easy Valentines card. Snip up pieces of your favorite DSP & tuck it behind a section of CS for a really cool look.

A Baby....

Remember the fall card we did like this? I couldn't resist doing a baby shower card for my friend, Summer. Love all the blue with touches of brown. Baby but yet masculine! Fun!

Thank You

I just love this paper! No it's not Stampin Up but you could use any DSP & achieve an awesome look. It was hard for me in the beginning to use different patterns together but now ? The more patterns the better! So try this card & get a little crazy with your DSP!! You'll love it!!

Be My Valentine

We all need masculine Valentines! And sometimes they are hard to come up with. Here's one that just might do for that special man in your life. I used that awesome DSP called Well Worn. It is (BTW) on the SU! Clearance rack. It's just a great all around masculine paper & the cool thing is is that if you look at it, it has red in it which TOTALLY makes it "legal" for Valentines Day!!! :) Have fun with this!

Some people....

Here's a card that I made today for my 75 year old friend..... You know the one I made the stationary & note pads for yesterday? I used the new Secret Garden stamp set & Framelits that are on the new Spring mini Catalog. I loved the way it turned out. This shape was actually a store bought card that a friend had received from someone years ago. I loved the shape so much that I traced it on paper& took it home. So if you see a card shape you love - trace it!!! You can figure out the details later!!:)
My friend is a big time tea drinker so I knew she'd love it! Can wait to give it to her tomorrow night!

"They that wait..." Stationery

Here's a couple pictures of a gift for my good friend who just turned 75 years old. She loves to write letters & loves the things I hand stamp. I made two note pad holders & a set of stationery for her. She's a "list" person like I am so I knew she'd enjoy the note pad holders as well. I just wanted to share these pictures with you.

Scattered Hearts

Another simple beautiful Valentine!!! Just grab your Real Red & Pretty in Pink ink pads & your various heart stamps & randomly stamp corner to corner. Then stamp some of those same hearts off on a scrap piece of white CS & cut out (or use your matching stamps & Framelits) and mount on dimensionals. Fun & easy...... And beautiful! Have fun! Try this idea with various coffee or tea cups....or flowers!

Triple Hearts

Even tho this simple sweet Valentine uses discontinued items, it's a great idea to use with other heart stamps or punches that are current. I used Naturals White CS to soften the overall appearance. Using your scoring tool score at 1/2" & 3/4" on each side to make the embossed lines. So simple but so sweet!
