Card class today!!! Summer Slushies

There's nothing like a citrusy slush to celebrate summer!! This is what we had today at card class.
Super easy to make & fix.
Blend in Vita-mix (or standard blender):
1 ripe banana
2 c pineapple juice
6 oz orange juice concentrate
1 ca coconut cream
Pour all into a container & freeze. When ready to serve, take container out of freezer &  scrape using a large spoon or ice cream scoop across surface & spoon into cups. Slowly add your choice of "clear" pop into slush. Stir & enjoy!

Folding out Tag Card

Here's a cute idea for a neat kids birthday card!
Use super bright DSP for kids or soft sweet feminine DSP for a girlfriends card. Switch it up with some bold masculine colors of DSP for the favorite guys in your life.  You could also add extra pockets inside to put little tags or treats in.... Maybe even folded money or a coupon for a massage. TONS of possibilities!!!
A silly picture or two?
Even quarters taped in....
So fun!! Hope you use this template a lot!!

Scrappy Coffee & Friends

I love cards that are just created from whatever comes out of your fingers as you go along!!  That's how this one was... Take some "elements" stamps (ie.. Canvas background stamp, coins, splatters, coffee stains, chess piece, key....) and create your own background. Adds one strips of weird DSP (you know, the kind you think you'll never use) , staple them on after you flag the ends.... Tear a piece of "print" DSP... Or real newspaper. I like to shade the edges with an ink pad (ink to paper technique)
Finish it off with bakers twine & a button.
Stamp & cut out your main image... In this instance it was the coffee cup.

Changing colors or some of the elements could make this more feminine.

Sympathy Tulip

As much as we don't WANT to use sympathy cards, it's a fact of life that we must. Here's an awfully pretty one for just such an occasion!! DSP is a great thing to use... It means less stamping and more pattern & color.
I used 1 3/4" circle punch for the window. (Sorry for the 1/2 moon shadowing the circle...) Of course the stamp set is discontinued but I couldn't stand the temptation to use it!!:)
Beeeeeautiful!!

Fresh Curiosity

I'm sure having fun playing  with my new DSP & stamp set!
Here's another card "fresh off the press".

The sayings my is from the "Adventure Awaits" set. I love bold sayings with cool fonts & that set fills that bill for sure!!
I added the extra carrot to the front to accentuate the "fresh" part of the saying. So fun!!

Thanks a Bunch

Market Fresh is a cool new set in the 2015-16 catalog. The DSP that coordinates is called Farmers Market. That's what I used on this card. Isn't it fun? I love checkered paper so this was right down my alley!! The colors, too, are so rich & beautiful.
I used my blender pens with coordinating  ink pads. Love this card!!

Monochromatic Lighthouse

Oh I LOVE this card!!
Lighthouses are just the perfect thing for a masculine card!
And Pacific Point is just the color to set this card off! I used a wide striped ribbon to go diagonally across card which really adds to the nautical theme.
I embossed the white background with the stripes folder. Wow!!! This a really cool card... Even if I do say so myself!!
Have a lovely day!!

The Masculine Best

Sometimes masculine cards are hard to one up with. That's why I try to do several every month in card class! Really ANY card can be switched to masculine by just changing the colors & images!
This one actually was flower stamps & feminine colors but see how GOOD it looks in masculine colors? Also the black circles were scallop circle on the original.
I used 1 3/8" circle punch & 1 1/4" circle punch. The argyle embossing folder makes an awesome manly background!
Happy stamping!!

Thank you Balloons

Balloons are just summer, huh? So here's another balloon card. A great way to use your DSPs.
Just cut your balloons out of DSP using the balloon thinlits & overlap them on your card. I used the colored twine for balloon strings & frayed the ends.
Isn't it cute?

Monochromatic Bugs & Kisses

Here's a cute kids card for either bit or girl..... Providing that girl loves bugs!!
"Bugs & Kisses" is a discontinued stamp set but this card can be changed up to put a flower, cup cake, leaf, boot.... Or whatever in the cutout circle. I used the 2" circle punch them stamped the grasshopper while holding the card closed.
Add the greeting using the oval punches. Then I stamped ants matching along inside the card.

Blue & Yellow Birthday Wishes

I have always loved blue & yellow together!
Here's a perfect card for those two colors.
So Saffron & Night of Navy are what I used here. I embossed with the pansy folder & added some butterflies from the Beautiful Wings Sizzlets die.
So sweet & simple!!

Sweet William

Can you tell that Willie loves his little water trough? It's been so very hot here lately & he loves to play & wrestle with Hank (the Cowdog) then go get in his "pool"! He's the sweetest puppy EVER!!
Ahhhhhh!!!
