Ornament Merry Christmas!!

Here's a new "slant" on a Christmas card!!:) And another great way to use your DSP. I used the Ribbon Punch instead of ribbon because... Well... I love the ribbon punch & because ,there again, it's a cool way to use your DSP scraps!!

The ornament punch I used here is the discontinued one BUT the new one in the Holiday Mini Catalog would be awesome here!! 

So ... No excuses for not doing your ownChristmas cards this year!!!  

Bird punch Birthday Wishes

This DSP is called "Gingham Garden" & isn't it sooo pretty!! I thot it paired prettily with the Bird Builder punch & the Wildflower Meadow embossing folder.

It makes for a very summer-y card!

Mandolin Christmas

Here's a card that shows one of the reasons I LOVE DSP!!! Mix & match to come up with the look you want. In this case I wanted a monochromatic card....Cherry Cobbler. I used a discontinued music set & the Labels Collection framelits. Punch your greeting out with the Word Window punch & center it. The Cherry Cobbler ribbon is from last years Holiday Catalog but any of the new ribbon will do. 

Never to early to start your Christmas cards!!!

Lacey Christmas Blessings

Have you thot about making your Christmas cards this year? Here's a really simple BEAUTIFUL card to think about. Change up the colors & greeting & make it your own!! Super simple yet very elegant!! I added some gold embroidery floss behind the poinsettia. You wouldn't have to do a cut out poinsettia either!!! Just do a die cut on your Big Shot or you could also just stamp your image & cut it in a square. Great template to use!! It's easy to do your own Christmas cards & everyone will love them!!!

Here's a great masculine card using the discontinued flocked paper! Also remember when you layer punches, it looks really cool! I used the 3/4" punch for the little squares. 

A Fiddlin Christmas

Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White & Early Espresso... A wonderful combo for your Christmas cards this year! I added a little paper piercing on the corners & a little 

"direct to paper"  shading around the fiddle.

Boy whoever wrote that song didnt have a clue!!!  We were gone to Idaho for 4 days  & I don't think I'll ever catch up!!! Now I remember why we don't go anywhere in the late Summer &  Fall.

To My Teacher

Back to school time already!!! Here's a cute card to tuck in a gift for that special teacher on the 1st day back!! Again the Top Note Die is the base. 1" circle punch is the eyes, 1/2" circle is the nose, 1 1/4" is the mouth, Blossom builder punch is what I used for the leaf & then free hand cutting for the stem & the teeth.

It's Your Birthday

A great way to use DSP scraps. Cut scraps into 1"x 5 1/4"  strips. Then stamp your image onto white & mount it on top. Add texture to your cupcakes with some 3 way glue stick & glitter.

Wow! Look at THIS!!! What a cool stamp set. 

Top Note Pumpkin

You know you're gonna be needing some fall cards very soon. Here's a totally simple one!! Use the Top Note die & the Woodgrain embossing folder to crest the Pumpkin. The Fall Accents die & an embossing folder of your choice to create the leaves. A little greeting & raffia & you're ready to send!!!

Christmas Ornament

A great way to use your extra scraps of DSP! Clear Circle Die cut in 1/2. Use the Ribbon Punch to cover seam, Tab Punch for hanger & shape a wire for hook. Add a snowflake & .... Beautiful!!!!

Purse

Is this not the CUTEST little thing you've ever seen???!!

This uses the Top Note die, Clear Circle Die & the Scallop Circle die for the purse.

Then the"clasp" is the Pansy Punch & Boho Flower punch. Add a button & a knot on top of that. I added a ribbon handle. Put Velcro under the clasp for easy closure. Also I added a piece of White CS inside for a message. Add your $ or gift card ... Or candy for that matter!!

Make them in every color!!!

Diva Card

There was a request for a "foo foo" diva card.... So here it is!!

Basic Black & Melon Mambo were the colors I choose. Add some swirls, feathers & rhinestones on top of some ribbon trim (a Martha Stewart punch) and you've got a SUPER diva card!!! We then added such greetings as "Birthday Diva", 

"Cleaning Diva", "Everyday Diva", "Coffee Diva" & etc....a very fun card indeed!!

DSP Square Punch Card

You can do so much with DSP!!! Punching squares out if your scraps is one way you can use but to dress up a card quick & fast!

If you have a lot of scraps & are tempted to just toss them, spend a few minutes & use your punches & punch squares & circles. Put them in a container or a ziplock & they are ready to be used on a quick card!

Bibeleskais (Cottage Cheese Dip)

1 lb cottage cheese

2/3 c sour cream

1/2 t salt

1/4 t fresh ground pepper

1 clove minced garlic

Minced white onion

Minced green onion

Minced chives

Mix thoroughly & let set over night.

Serve with vegetables or crackers.

Keylime Pie

1 (14oz) can sweetened condensed milk

1 (6 oz) can frozen limeade concentrate

1 tsp key lime juice

Several drops green food coloring

8 oz whipped topping

1 9" graham cracker crust

Combine all ingredients & pour into crust.

Freeze. Thaw slightly before serving.

Christ is Born

Suuuuper simple but so pretty. This card is done in early Espresso & Cherry Cobbler. Love those colors together!

Christmas Blessings

Well I have been doing Christmas cards!!! I had an order from a friend of my moms in Idaho and since we are going there next weekend I need to deliver them. Here's the first of the 10 I came up with.

Just HAD to add the pearls to the center of the poinsettia!

My sweet niece is getting married next weekend so naturally I HAVE to make her a card!! But not JUST a card... An extra special one!! Here it is.... Her colors are lemon yellow, apple green & grey. To make the card really elegant I chose to just stay with the grey & put it on black. 

I was very excited with how it turned out!!!
