Calypso Coral & Early Espresso.... Great combo, don't you think? I actually used a very old flower punch on this card but my Boho Flower Punch would have worked just as well! The flowers are out of Crumb Cake. Simply adorable!!

Happy Memorial Day!!!

Well our weekend was full of.... Fish!!! 

At this moment I am enjoying the beautiful Deschutes River watching my guys fish.  Normally I would be fishing too but since we are on the reservation side this evening for a BBQ you have to have special permits which I do not have & they do!! But it still is delightful to be out in the great outdoors!! Hope you have had a wonderful day as well!!! Below is my guys catch from Saturday on the John Day River!!! 32 catfish!!!

Pretty Butterflies!!

Here's a lovely wedding card made with the Elegant Butterfly punch & the Petite Butterfly punch. The flourishes in the bkground just add to the "foo foo-ness" of the card.

Here's a great card for that special dad in your life!!  Using the Framelits Labels Collection just sets off the greeting on lovely Night of Navy!!! And keeping the argyle embossed background  theme,  I used square punches to being them to the front. Very elegantly masculine.

What a sweet little guy for a birthday card!!! This uses the Blossom punch for his mane (cut 2) & one partial for his feet. Sponge all edges with Crushed Curry ink.

Use 1 1/4" circle punch for face, 3/4" circle punch for cheeks, either the heart from the Owl punch or a trimmed mini ornament for his nose and top him off with little goggle eyes & you have a charming card for the special little person in your life. Add your greeting of choice & your pennants from the pennant punch. So fun to make!!!

Vanishing Oatmeal Cookies

1 c butter

1 c packed brown sugar

1/2 c sugar

2 eggs

2 tsp vanilla

1 1/2 c flour

1 tsp soda

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp salt

3 c oats ( old fashioned or quick)

1 c raisins or craisins

I add nuts & chocolate chips or in this case M&Ms.

Wise Old Owl

Isn't he the cutest little graduate you ever did see??? This one is for my friends grand daughter who graduates in a few weeks....he's so cute I  may have to make one for my son too!! 

His head is Top Note Die, his body is the Scallop Circle die, eyes are 1 1/4" circle, 3/4" circle & xtra large Oval punch- layered respectively -beak is  large oval whittled on one end, hat is a 2" square & embossed tummy is the Oval Framelits. Of course the tassel is orange ribbon frayed. The diploma is just rolled paper tied with ribbon. 

All boxed & ready to go!!!

I loved making this card for my sweet friend. I used the OLD OLD pansy set from years gone by. There are some sets I will never part with & this is one of them.

Soda Pop Tops MOM card

Happy Mothers Day to you all!! Here's a card for you to make for that Special Mother  in your life.... Or maybe someone that stepped into your life and changed the direction you were headed! So thankful for ALL mothers & mother figures in our lives!  This card uses the Soda Pop Tops from the mini catalog.

I ran these thro the BigShot so that they are smashed. Soooo cute!! This card also  uses the Tea For Two DSP from the mini catalog too. Together they make a very eye catching card for that special lady!

Oreo Cookie

This is such a fast adorable card!! Using the scallop circle die, you cut two circles out of Early Espresso then a 3" circle out of white. Emboss one EE scallop circle for top. "Sandwich" them together & attach with a brad. Make a greeting using the large oval & scallop oval punches. So cute & for ANY age.

Seeing stars set FOUND!!!

Ahhhh yes it has been found!!! When looking desperately for a stamp set, one should remember whether it is clear mount or wood mount & look for it accordingly! Hee hee!

Don't you just LOVE coffee stamp sets? I do!!! Here's a Mothers Day card for a coffee drinkin mama!! Love the Cajun Craze colors on this card... So rich!

Cut your card base at 12"x4". Then score & zig zag fold from end at 4"& 8".

Decorate & embellish according to your taste.

Done!!!

Sealife Happy Birthday

So so glad that in the Color Refresh they didn't take my Soft Suede away!!! I love it with so many colors!! On this card it is just coupled with creme & it is so simply elegant. Just stamp partial images on the creme & mount on Soft Suede & choose a greeting. Any background stamp can be used with a mask on right hand side.

Seeing Stars

Did anyone borrow my "Seeing Stars" stamp set? I cannot find it & we did alot of star cards last June/July. Please call it message me ASAP if you have it!

Birthday Hat "Lets Party"

Have you ever created your own Pom poms? Soooo easy! Take your ribbon or yarn & hold the end between your thumb & forefinger. Then wrap the yarn MULTIPLE times from your first finger around your 2nd finger & back again till you have a fat bunch of ribbon (the more wraps the puffier your Pom Pom) Then tie a pice of the sane ribbon around the bunch going between your fingers. Tie very securely & tightly. Slip off fingers &snip all loops. Fluff & you've got a gorgeous Pom Pom!!!
I used the Perfect Pennant Die for the party hat then rounded the bottom. Add some eyelets & you have a very festive birthday card!!

Stampin Up card kits

If you want to make some cards in a HURRY, check out Stampin Ups card kits. Everything you need comes in the kit & all you have to do is throw them together. You CAN add or change them as you see fit but they look marvelous just like they are. Try 'em... I think you'll like 'em!

Chevrons using Squares

THIS is a fun card to make & WOW what a great way to use up scraps!! Using your
1 1/4" square punch, punch several different patterns of DSP in the color theme you want to use on your card. Because its hard to customize colors for graduation in card class I always use black, white & silver.
Cut all squares in half corner to corner.
After folding your card, score 11/2 " up from the bottom edge to give you a straight edge with which to line up your pieces. Line the triangles up ( see picture) then using the same pattern of DSP, place inverted triangles on line where you scored . Then continue with silver glimmer paper... Etc...finish it off with another 1/2 row of DSP & a ribbon. Embellish as desired...
